Mr. Armand Roland Pierre Bouinde was born on 10 November 1962 and was elected Mayor of Ouagadougou in June 2016.
His mandate calls for focus on urban planning, urban mobility, urban safety, the urban environment, local governance local finance, citizen participation in development, international and decentralized cooperation, municipal communication, and the social sectors of development.
He has served as a Councilor for the People’s Movement for Progress (MPP), of which he is a founding member, and a training manager with over twenty years of experience in management of companies ranging from computer services to consulting and communication.
His business management experience has had a positive influence on his political career and has allowed him to work effectively in his position as mayor.
